Resident & Family Councils
Every person living in a licensed long-term care home, along with their family and/or the person’s representative has the right to participate in a Council.
Family Councils and Resident and Family Councils are organized groups of residents, or residents and their family members and/or representatives. Councils meet on a regular basis to maintain and enhance the quality of life of residents through peer support and education and provide voices for residents and families to improve the experiences of all residents.
Councils can contribute to positive changes in the quality of life of residents and help to ensure that all voices are heard. Contact our office for information if you want to attend a meeting.
